The existing HOUSE
The existing house had a lot of brick which the owners preferred to upgrade with stone.
THIS SHOWS THE PROJECT IN SCHEMATIC DESIGN - THE LEFT SIDE SHOWS EXISTING FLOOR PLAN AND STREET ELEVATION, AND THE RIGHT SHOWS PROPOSED FLOOR PLAN AND STREET ELEVATION.
The yellow areas are where area was added to the existing house. The garage entrance was oriented to face the street.
PROPOSED ELEVATIONS FROM THE STREET
The owners wanted stone on the front facade, and stucco instead of the vertical board and batten siding.
The upper option shows consistency in materials in the old and new - stucco in the upper half of the whole house,
and a stone skirt below tying the house together.
The lower option shows the entire front wall of the addition on the left clad in stone
which helps balance the large expanse of garage doors on the right.
